Today's report: my latest time suck. And yes I do have many, but my latest is called Pinterest. Pinterest is a website where you tag pictures that you find on the Internet, of pretty much anything. Pictures that you love, design, jewelry, accessories, fashion, wants, needs, and pretty much anything else that you come across. It's so addicting! But be careful cause time can fly by without you even realizing. Happy Pinning!

I'm Obsessed with...

We're moving, which of course means that I'm going to have a new room to decorate. So my mind has been full of interior design and decorating ideas. So these are the things I'm currently obsessed with...and considering putting in my new room...
This desk keeps popping up everywhere and won't leave my mind!

Love this twist on a classic Union Jack. And on a dresser!

To quote style muse Rachel Zoe 'I DIE!'

LOVE the pops of color and poster!

I'm in love with this sign! I saw it at a local boutique and can not stop thinking about it!

My British blood will never cease to run through my veins...

But I love this one too :) Haha

These are just few of my MANY ideas! But I still have no idea how I'm going to coordinate it all into one fabulous room. I have a bit more brainstorming to do...

What's Your Favorite Food?

A question you come across so often and I never knew what to answer with (since I love pretty much all food) until now. Recently, a friend and I went out to dinner at Katsuya in Hollywood. We both love sushi and have eaten a lot of it but this was an experience like no other. The decor is really edgy and all the art is really graphic making for a really modern and cool atmosphere. Though pricey, the food is delicious, worth the money and comes super fast. I suggest the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice and Crab Handrolls both d-licious.

Double Time, Double Tone

One of the newest trends in mani/pedis is having two different colors or two different tones on your nails. For example InStyle magazine featured a manicure with lighter colors on on all the nails except both ring fingers, which had a brighter accent color. When I first spotted this trend, I thought it might be a little weird. It reminded me of when you were a little kid and you put a different color on each finger and toe, but I think this a more sophisticated way of doing it.

One for One

This is the slogan for probably the most talked about shoes since Louboutins and Jimmy Choos. Besides being cute and insanely comfortable these canvas shoes are a two for one deal. One price two pairs of shoes. One for you, one for a child in need.

Entrepreneur Blake Mycoskie took a trip to Argentina and found that the children there had no shoes to protect their feet. So in 2006 he launched a company out of Santa Monica, Ca that would give costumers the shoes they wanted, and the children the shoes they needed.

Today TOMS can be found on the feet of people of all ages. At the mall, at school, at the office, at the library, on the street. Tomorrow look down for a second on your way to work or school and I guarantee you will see at least one person wearing a pair of TOMS. And while you're out, tomorrow or the next day, go buy yourself a pair. I promise you won't be sorry and remember that you're doing it for a good cause, cause it's One for One. One for you and One for a child in need of shoes to protect their feet.

This flows so tight and the Beats so sick ...

Not just the beat but the Beats. These fairly new headphones have quickly become probably the most well known pair around the world. Created by singer/songwriter Dr.Dre, these babys are up there with all the best and from what I've heard they should be! They come in a variety of colors including Beats black with a red B on each ear,Beats white with a red B on each ear, and the brand new pair Just Beats inspired by singer/songwriter-and one of my personal favorites-Justin Bieber purple with a purple B on each ear. The headphones also come in a variety of styles. Studios, which were created in order for everyone to be able to hear the music the way it was meant to be heard, what it sounds like just freshly edited and out of the studio. Pros were created with DJs, sound engineers, and musicians in mind. It gives you the perfect clean cut sound you want on the go. Solos are smaller, lightweight headphones for every day use but with these you still get the full, rich sound the artist intended for you to hear. Solos are also available in HD for even fuller sound and also available as a (PRODUCT)RED which is an organization in which a portion of the product's profits go to a Global Fund used to fight AIDS in Africa. Just Beats Solos are equipped with full sound precision. They were created to give it all in a lightweight easy to use package. Not only great quality but they are inspired by Justin Biebers look meaning to anyone who is a fan of the young teenage star they're purple :).

Have a Weekend Away ...... at Home!

Ever wanted to entertain your friends with a weekend at the spa but don't want to spend the money? You can! This weekend I created the "Le Fleur Hotel & Spa" for me and my friends. I put room numbers on all the bedroom doors upstairs and set the guest room up as our "hotel room" complete with sleeping masks, pillow mints, and complimentary water. Then put a label on the bathroom door that said "Spa" and filled it with candles and my "triple facial" which included an exfoliator, Avocado Mask and moisturizer. In the "Lobby" aka the living room I put cucumber water, which is a spa staple, in a pitcher with three thin glasses and a cucumber garnish as well as a "sign in sheet" and a "schedule". For dinner I had my parents set the dining room table and we made our way downstairs after our facials to find a yummy and light sushi dinner. After dinner we headed upstairs and watched movies until we fell asleep. So go out and try it! Have a fun, relaxing, and inexpensive weekend!

Avocado Face Mask

2 avocados
2 tsp tea tree oil
1 egg white

Blend in a blender or electric mixer
until smooth and paste like.
Apply all over face (avoiding eyes)
with a paint brush.
Leave on for 15 minutes, preferably until dry.

"Mmm . . . what's in this?"

Just mint and water. One of my new obsessions is Metromint Water and as I said all it is, is purified water infused with real mint. It comes in six flavors Cherrymint, Chocolatemint, Lemonmint, Orangemint, Spearamint, and Peppermint. I've never tried the first two but I hope to soon. It's really refreshing, hydrating, and good for you! There are no calories, no fat, no sugar,no anything! I love it and I hope you will too. It's available at most any supermarket.
I hope that you'll try it and tell me how you like it!

Got Talent?

Although my all time favorite series for many years has been The Clique, I've discovered a new series called Talent by: Zoey Dean. It is the story of three girls, Mackenzie Little-Armstrong a.k.a. Mac, the daughter of esteemed talent agent Adrienne Little-Armstrong, Cordelia Kingsley a.k.a. Coco, daughter of famed pop superstar Cardammon, and Evangelina Becks a.k.a. Becks, daughter of famous MTV prankster Clutch Becks. The girls live their glamorous lives in Bel-Air, California where dining next to a celebrity is as common as eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. But their lives will all change when Mac's arch nemesis Ruby Goldman runs neck-in-neck with her to win the position of social chair at Bel-Air Middle School (BAMS) and announces that she has big surprise for everyone when school starts in September, that will inevitably boost her chances at winning. But Mac quickly hatches a plan to beat Ruby, involving Iowa native and L.A. newby Emily Mungler and a whole lot of Talent. (Sequels include Almost Famous and Star Power.)

A Healthy and Sweet Treat!

One of my new favorite things, that one of my best friends really turned me onto, is iced tea. I'm obsessed with it! I order it all the time at restaurants instead of soda because A) it's healthier and B) it's fun finding out which places brew it the best. I am currently drinking one of my favorites, the store bought Tejava unsweetened iced tea with one Splenda.

I've been drinking tea since I was very small and iced tea is great as well especially when you live in SoCal, where it's almost never below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. So next time you're out at a restaurant try their iced tea instead of your usual Diet Coke and write back telling me how it is. Here are some of my favorite places to have Iced Tea:

  • Black Cow Cafe in Montrose

  • Zeli's Coffeehouse

  • Panda Express (their China Mist)

  • Sak's Fifth Avenue

  • Starbucks Coffee (their Passion Iced Tea and Black Iced Tea)

Enjoy!

Keeping You're Feet Flat IS Stylish!

Tory Burch is a fashion designer who is very famous. She is especially famous for her ballet flats. These shoes are very distinct because they have the big Tory Burch symbol on the top. Tory was born on June 15, 1966 in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and went to the University of Pennsylvania. She now lives in New York, New York with her 3 sons Henry and Nicholas 12 and Sawyer 8. Tory has great ideas and style, I think that she will continue to be famous as long as she lives and maybe even after she's gone. She is a great role model.

"Schools Out for the Summer . . ."

School is almost out and I am sooo excited and I bet you all are too! Summer is the best time of year for me because there is no school and no stress just a free relaxing summer to spend with friends and family. I love all summer activities swimming, tanning, going to the beach, tennis, sleepovers, movie marathons, parties, shopping, and even shopping for school supplies. Make sure and write many comments telling me what your plans are for the summer and what you're looking forward to.

Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland . . .

Yes, winter is almost over mostly for us here in So Cal but in many places people are still enjoying beautiful snow. Skiing is a very popular winter sport and one of the oldest. I actually prefer skiing and have just taken a trip with my Great Aunt and Uncle to Jackson Hole, Wyoming were skiing is intense and done by almost every person who lives there whether it's down hill or cross country people of all ages enjoy it. Jackson Hole is a very good place to learn to ski because if you can ski in Jackson you can ski anywhere. There is even a saying "You haven't skied until you've skied in Jackson Hole." Another good thing about Jackson is that a lot of the people that are there are experienced so it's not likely that you'll get hit. So I am living proof that you get much better even if you ski only 3 days in a row in Jackson you'll be much better because before I went I was in between high beginner and low intermediate and now I am full on intermediate so if your family enjoys skiing or you just want to get that push to get better or even if you're great or you're just learning I recommend you go to Jackson Hole, Wyoming it's a great place to learn.

"The only thing harder than getting in is staying in."

These 10 words are famous for girls ranging from the age 10 and up. They are the words on the back of every single book in the amazingly popular Clique Series. The Clique is a series of books that are about 4 popular seventh grade girls (Massie, Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen) who rule OCD:Octavian Country Day, an all girls private school (no uniforms of course) and Claire, the new girl from Florida who doesn't exactly fit in at OCD. Massie and the rest of The Pretty Committee aren't very nice to Claire for a long while until something big happens but you'll just have to read the books to find out. There are 14 books so far and two that I know of that are coming out soon. The books are The Clique, Best Friends For Never, Revenge of the Wannabes, Invasion of the Boy Snatchers, The Pretty Committee Strikes Back, Dial L For Loser, It's Not Easy Being Mean, Sealed With a Diss, Summer Collection:Massie, Summer Collection:Dylan, Summer Collection:Alicia, Summer Collection:Kristen, Summer Collection:Claire, and Bratfest at Tiffany's. The two new ones that I know of are P.S I Loathe You and Boys R' Us. These books are great and so is The Clique movie! They are also making the other movies for the other 15 books as well so look out for those! I hope you enjoy The Clique Series as much as me and my friends do and if you have already read and reread all the books and know all the lines by heart than try the Poseur series I have started it and think it's great!

The big new scent that everyone's talking about are the Harajuku Lovers. They are small flat bottles with plastic dolls in the shape of the members of Gwen Stefani's band. They have a variety of sweet scents. My personal favorite is Love because of its sweet and savory smell. They are sooo cute and come in two sizes .3 oz which are $25 and 1.0 oz which are $45. Give me your opinion.

At the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas she was crowned on Saturday the 24th and proclaimed it a dream come true. I loved all the competitions and the nervousness in the elimination process. Tell me what you thought of it and who your favorite was.

Kate Spade's New Designs

Kate Spade is an awesome fashion and accessory company. Kate and Andy Spade actually sold their company in 2007 and now has a new owner. To me that's kinda sad cause it's not her any more it's some other person even though the designs are cute. So this is one of the new designs that I thought was really awesome. It's a handbag that looks like an envelope, its really cool.
